DES302 BLOG 2: Progress Update

During these two weeks, I accomplished a lot of tasks; here, I will be quickly updating my progress and reflecting on these experiences. For this blog entry, I will use the What? So What? Now What? Model from The Reflection Toolkit.

What?

• What aspects should I aim for in my ethics module?

• What changes could the project bring to the current situation?

• What should I include in my ethics module to reflect the values of the challenge?

• What affects young women's enjoyment of public space?

• What are some achievable changes to make the space more friendly to young women?

Now What?

For Week 3, I've finished my ethics module and listed a few criteria that I needed to include in this project down below is the ethics module that I have for now, I may make a few changes after Xin comments in the future.

Methodology Revision

After I've done that, I've also refined the methodology; the final methodology I will use for this project is the Human Centered Design (HCD) by IDEO. I noticed that there is an overlap between HCD and Participatory Design and it is more integrated than Participatory Deisgn and since we can only use one design methodology, from here now on I will only use HCD to carry on this project.
